Life is a Journey Anthology “A Brush with Death” Guidelines
Deadline: January 31, 2015
Life is a Journey…not a destination stories are inspirational, true stories written in a creative nonfiction style about ordinary people having extraordinary experiences. They are stories that will open the heart and rekindle the spirit. They are personal and often filled with emotion and drama.
Life is a Journey stories are written in first person and have a beginning, middle and an end. A good story causes tears, laughter, goose bumps or any combination of these elements, and tell us how this brush with death has influenced your life today.
Keep your story to a word count of 1000-2000 words or less. Tighten, tighten, and tighten! Your story must be true, or what we call creative nonfiction. No fiction.
We define creative nonfiction as true stories told in a creative and compelling manner–heartwarming, humorous or thought-provoking.
There is no entry fee. Payment is one copy of A Brush with Death book.
