Austin Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators Webinar
Revising Your Rhymer Picture Book

Date: Nov. 5, 7pm

Strong, sellable rhymers need great rhymes, solid meter, lovable characters, and a memorable story. That’s a lot to juggle! REVISION is essential, but revising a rhymer can be daunting. During this webinar, acclaimed picture book author Tim McCanna (JACK B. NINJA) will discuss techniques for taking your rhyming picture book drafts to the next level. From rewording rhyming stanzas to overhauling endings, we’ll work on getting that rhyming story of yours from so-so to sold. Cost is $10 for SCBWI members, $45 for non-members. SCBWI members, login to get the discounted price. Tim has also offered to do a limited number of critiques.
