Kid’s Imagination Train Spring Contest
 
Create a spring-themed poem or story.  Poems should be about 200 – 300 words. Stories should run under 500 words. The submission should be typed and double-spaced.  On the right hand corner of the first page include:  your name and home and email address.
Ages: 18 and older
 
Entry fee: Make a check for $10.00 payable to Kid's Imagination Train or pay through PayPal or mail. Multiple entries: Additional pieces may be entered for $5 each.
 
Prize: The winner will receive $100. The winning story or poem will be published in the 2017 May/June issue of KIT. Second and third place will receive a certificate and will be acknowledged in the spring issue of KIT.
 
Deadline: March 17, 2017.
 
Be sure to keep a copy of your work. Judging will be performed by the editorial staff of KIT.  Notification will be emailed approximately four weeks after the closing date of the contest.
