The University of Dayton’s Erma Bombeck Writers’ Workshop is seeking humorous nonfiction essays that convey your special bond with your sister.

Anyone who has a sister knows it can be one of the closest and most fun relationships of your life. Your sister is often your biggest cheerleader, rock-solid support, secret keeper, family memory bank, honest critic and someone who makes you laugh more than anyone else. This writing contest is for anyone who loves their sister.

Submissions: June 15-Aug. 1, 2020. Length: 1,000 words or less. Only one entry per person. All entries must be in English. Up to 20 winners will be announced Oct. 19, 2020. Each winner will receive a $300 award.
