"Co-edited by Christine Organ and Julie Jo Severson, Sandwiched: Voices From the Middle is a forthcoming anthology that will give voice to the various perspectives of those who are living in the full middle years of life." The editors "are looking for a wide range of first-person stories and reflective essays that connect us and rekindle our spirit on various aspects of the middle years of life" and offer suggested topics at the web site listed above.
 
Deadline: April 15, 2016. Pays: "After all rounds of editing are complete, you will receive payment of $25. Once the book is published, you will receive a contributor’s copy. After initial expenses are recouped, contributors may receive a share of the royalties (up to a maximum of $25)."
