Posted by Sally Clark on Sunday, April 10, 2016
Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators Working Conference
Austin, Texas

Date(s) - 05/14/2016 - 05/15/2016
Location - Crowne Plaza Austin, 6121 N. Interstate 35 - Austin, TX 78752

With Austin SCBWI turning 20 this year, our 2016 Writers & Illustrators Working Conference is even bigger and better, with more general sessions; six breakouts including an illustrator track, a professional development track and two writer tracks; as well as three intensive tracks on Sunday (for illustration, picture book writing and novel writing), each including a three-hour morning intensive and two-hour afternoon intensive.

Plus, there will be opportunities to have your work critiqued by fantastic authors and illustrators, editors and agents, and to pitch your work to agents and editors; the Portfolio Showcase and plenty of time to network and make new friends.

Our wonderful faculty is bigger too, to serve out even more wisdom and inspiration.

Prices range from $140-$312, depending on whether you are an SCBWI member or not and how many (and which) days you want to attend. See web site for details.
