The Advent Writing Contest: Walking with Mary

Entry Deadline: November 22, 2021

Catholic Literary Arts encourages your written submission focused on Walking with Mary: Advent. We will feature three winners on our website and award a cash prize of $25 to each. A virtual even to celebrate the winners and finalists will be held on December 9th. Final entries will be judged by Maggie Gallagher, executive director, Benedict XVI Institute.

Focus your unique writing skills on the richness of Advent through meditation on the Blessed Virgin Mary. We are eager to read your unpublished poems and prose on the holy presence of the Blessed Mother during Advent, a season that bring a forever new meaning to “walking” as we consider Mary’s long journey to assist her cousin Elizabeth directly after the Annunciation.

Poetry or prose up to 250 word; $5.00 entry fee, one entry per author.
