Thriving Family: 2012 Summer Calendar Ideas
Hello Thriving Family Writers’ List,

Thank you for being a part of the creative group that works with Thriving Family! If you would be interested in being a contributor to our Summer Calendar for 2012, please send me your calendar entries on the following topic:

Theme: The Summer Calendar for 2012 will have the theme of “Make Your Summer Count.” Therefore, we would be interested in interactive activities that parents can do with their kids to help them spend time, laugh, have dinner, pray and talk together. Since this is the third year that we have created a summer calendar, you will need to make these original, faith-based activities unique and, of course, a lot of fun. Please see last year’s calendar, “Faith on the Go,” at
http://www.thrivingfamily.com/Features/Magazine/2011/faith-on-the-go-june-activity-calendar.aspx and the year before’s, “Seize the Summer,” at http://www.thrivingfamily.com/Features/Magazine/2010/may/seize-smmr-jun.aspx . From these calendars, you’ll know how to set up your entries and what not to repeat.

Word Count: 30 to 65 words per idea. The Scripture reference, which every activity will need is not counted in the word count.

Article type: A faith-based activity that parents and kids can do together

Rights: First nonexclusive rights

Payment: $10 on acceptance for each summer activity accepted. You are welcome to send as many as you want considered.

Date Due: Wednesday, August 17, 2011 or when we meet our summer calendar idea quota
