In 2010, there are 8 subjects, any style, any form, including an all-inclusive “other” subject. We hope all poets and writers will have more fun with less to think about. You may enter poems, essays, stories of up to 1,500 words, or stories of more than 1,500 words. Entry fees from $3 - $6; prizes range from $20 - $50. Deadline June 30, 2010.


Subjects for 2010 include:
Aging Gracefully (or Not); Death& Dying; Earth, Nature, Seasons; Relationships, Special Days; Spiritual, Uplifting, Religious; Witty, Whimsical, Humorous, Satirical; All other subjects.


WSI Creative Writing Competitions are open to writers across the globe. Entries must be original work and neither be a previous competition winner nor previously published. Up to 8 winners selected in Section 1. Up to 4 winners selected in Sections 2, 3, and 4. Prizes: $50, $40, $30, and $20 minimum (or $100, $75, $50, and $25 maximum with external sponsorship) for first place, second place, third place, and honorable mention awarded at judges’ discretion.
